1. Intellectual Property & Copyright
All images, artwork, designs, text, and logos on this website are the intellectual property of Karlena Lewin Studio and are protected by international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without my express written permission.
Original Artwork: When you purchase an original painting, you own the physical artwork itself. The copyright remains solely with me, the artist. The artwork may not be reproduced for commercial or promotional purposes.
Prints & Digital Downloads: When you purchase a print or a digital download, you are purchasing a physical product or a license to print the artwork for your personal, non-commercial use only. The copyright and all reproduction rights remain solely with me, the artist. You may not resell, redistribute, or use the image for any commercial purpose (including but not limited to websites, prints for resale, products, or promotional materials).
2. Purchases & Payment
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Your order will be processed and prepared for shipping once payment has been confirmed in full.
3. Shipping & Delivery
I carefully pack all original artworks and prints to ensure they arrive safely.
Shipping costs and delivery timeframes are calculated at checkout and are the responsibility of the customer.
Digital Downloads: Your download link will be sent automatically to your provided email address upon payment confirmation. Please contact me if you do not receive it.
I am not liable for any delays in delivery caused by the shipping carrier or customs.
4. Damaged or Lost Artwork in Transit
I take great care in packaging your artwork. However, if your physical order (original or print) arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery at karlenalewinstudio@gmail.com with photos of the damaged artwork and packaging. I will arrange a full refund or replacement upon receipt of the evidence.
In the rare event that your order is lost in transit, please contact me, and I will initiate a trace with the shipping carrier. If the parcel is deemed lost, a full refund will be issued.
*Please note: Due to their digital nature, digital downloads are non-refundable*
5. Returns & Refunds for Change of Mind
Due to the nature of original art and prints, I do not accept returns or offer refunds for a simple change of mind. Please choose carefully and review all product images and descriptions. I am happy to answer any questions before you purchase.
6. Commissions
Commissioned artworks are a collaborative process. A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to begin work, which covers materials and time. The remaining balance is due upon your approval of the finished piece, before shipping. The deposit is only refundable if I, the artist, am unable to complete the commission.
7. Workshops & Bookings
Cancellation by You: A full refund is available for cancellations made more than 14 days before your workshop. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person.
Cancellation by Me: I reserve the right to cancel a workshop due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. A full refund will be provided in this case.
8. Limitation of Liability
Karlena Lewin Studio's total liability is limited to the value of the purchased product.
